Howdie-Ho, Mom and Dad decided to go on a cruise to the Oakland Yacht
Club. But since it is January, there was a little bit of rain on
Sat. The rain doesn't much bother me and mom and dad seemed to be enjoying
the wind... in fact.....
Mom is being the hero today. Since most of the time we get action
shots of dad steering, I wanted to be sure that mom got some credit here...

So, I already said it was rainy, and windy, well in addition to that we had
a strong current against us -- and there were about 100 racers coming at us
while going under the bridge construction. And yep, you guessed it, we had
to give them the right of way. So, it was tricky, but my mom and dad
pulled it off and sailed with their heads held high...

ANd now, I'll demonstrate my stand with a lean to starboard... Look
how I'm parallel to our gimbaled lamp... I'm so awesome!

I find the wet hair invigorating!!! Notice how I now have on my fleece
coat. It's because I started shivering from being cold -- so yes, doggies
do get cold even though we have fur coats.

Finally in the estuary, it's usually a tight squeeze at some point with a
ship...

After a nice overnight at the marina (and a little ball playing for me), we
headed home on a nice sunny Sunday. Here's a side by side view of the
current bay bridge and the new one they are building.

Mom and I on the bow...

There is one spot that is safe to cross the Berkeley Pier ruins and this is
it.

And I'm still ready for romping.....
