Pura Vida
Walking Tour

Here is my new home... Pura Vida, a Hylas 47, designed by Sparkman & Stephens (her name is Costa Rican and means 'the good life'). Finally after 3 weeks of ownership, we've been out using and totally enjoying her. We've been out on 3 sails so far and 1 docking practice session to get to know her. She has been making mom and dad very happy and doing so well moving us around. We are all very happy aboard s/v Pura Vida.

Whoa!!! don't freak out, this is
what it looks like to me when I head down the stairs ahh,
ladder to get below. It's not too doggie friendly and mom and dad had
planned to just help me up and down, but they worked with me and after a few
weeks of practice I can proudly say that I can go up and down by myself.
Though I wish they would stop laughing at me when I go up. They say it's
because I look so cute scrambling up the ladder, but it's still annoying.
Maybe next time they're trying a tough docking I'll prance around the boat
chuckling at how cute they look worrying -- that'll show them!!!!
Here is what the salon or living room
looks like. there is lots of easily accessible storage for boatstuff,
food, drinks, books and even a lighted liquor cabinet.
This is below looking aft. That's
the galley (or kitchen to the right of the picture and the nav station to the
left. The two doors at the end of the walkways lead to why center cockpit
boat are so awesome.
I can actually sleep on the bed while
sailing (well, not if it's crazy).
This is the other side of the aft
cabin. Mom and dad are really loving having a real bed.
In the aft cabin there is also a
bathroom/shower.
Here is below facing forward. To
the left is my room which has bunk beds and a little cubby to sleep in on the
floor. On the right is another bathroom with shower. Forward is the
triangular bed.
